Edge Banding Services
With our recent investment in a IMA HKA Manual Banding Unit and the EDM KDP 400 Edge Bander we are able to offer a variety of edge banding services. With the EBM KDP 400 we are able to edge band very large panels with a selection of solutions, with upto 2mm edging. The IMA HKA Manual Unit allows us to edge band almost any size and shape panel with up to 3mm thick bands, this unit is great for working with oddly shaped panels and curves.
These two new additions to our already well equipped workshop, compliment our existing CNC Machine and Panel Saw, these latest investments allow us to provide a fully rounded solution, so if we need to build a bespoke piece of furniture or just those finishing touches to a custom exhibition stand, we have the tools and experience to do so.
Edge Banding is the process of applying a narrow strip of material to edge of a panel,these panels are normally Melamine-faced boards. This process is done to provide a finished look and to increase the durability of the panel. Edge Banding can be done using a variety of materials such as Melamine, PVC, ABS or wood veneers.
Melamine Edging is available in a selection of sizes and colours and is produced by injecting resin in to plain or printed paper, this is what gives its rigidity.
PVC Edging is available in a wide variety of colours and textures, as well as being available in a selection of widths and thickness.
